The Pace Of Prayer

Brooklyn Message Audio

"“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.” Galatians 5:22-24

Being a disciple of Jesus means choosing a different way of living in the world. One of those ways is to move and live at the pace of prayer. As we build rhythms that are slow, intentional, and unhurried- we begin to stay connected to Jesus, aware of His presence, and aligned with what He is doing in our lives. The pace of prayer helps shape who we become and how we experience God.

1. The Pace of Prayer Daily Yokes Us to Jesus

Prayer is how we stay connected to Jesus throughout our everyday lives. It is not about long or perfect moments, but about consistently turning our attention back to Him. As we pray, we choose to walk with Him instead of carrying everything on our own. Over time, this rhythm keeps us aligned with His heart, His voice, and His leading.

2. The Pace of Prayer Keeps You Aware of God’s Presence

When we slow down and make space for prayer, we begin to notice that God is already with us. Prayer shifts our awareness from distraction to presence and reminds us that we are never alone. It helps us recognize God in both ordinary moments and difficult ones. The more we practice this pace, the more we live with a constant awareness that He is near.

3. The Pace of Prayer Shows What You Sow and Reap

Prayer reveals what we are consistently giving our attention and energy to. What we sow into our thoughts, habits, and time will eventually shape what we experience in our lives. As we build a rhythm of prayer, we begin to sow into peace, trust, and dependence on God. Over time, we reap a life that reflects closeness with Him and fruit that flows from that relationship.
