Risk is inherent in the Christian faith—Jesus commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations. Whether that is going across the globe or across the hallway, we are called to tell others about Jesus. In this Sunday’s message, Ps Jon Laurenzo closes out our All Saints series and gives us three ways we can emulate the character of Jesus as we tell others about him.

We look like Jesus when…
We Love The City

• Jesus’ response to the constant people around him was compassion and a desire to help.
• The root and foundation of all healthy ministry is a love for the people in the city where you minister.
• A heart that has been broken for those in need is the only motivation that will last.

We Make Disciples

• Jesus’ last words to his disciples were a commandment to go and make disciples, and a reminder that he will be with them always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:19-20). 
• Discipleship of others must begin with discipleship of self. If we want to help others be more like Jesus, we must also be taking steps to look more like him.
• We cannot rely simply on deep teaching for our spiritual depth. Spiritual depth comes from time spent with God and a conscious decision to apply teaching to our lives.

We Seek Those That Are Lost

• Jesus says that he did not come for the healthy, but the sick. He came to seek and save the lost (Luke 19:10).
• The missionary movement teaches us that someone has to go after the lost. 
• Evangelism turns the church from a Christian social club into a hospital for the sick and dying.
