“Your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens,
your faithfulness to the clouds.Your righteousness is like the mountains of God;
your judgments are like the great deep;
man and beast you save, O Lord.
How precious is your steadfast love, O God!
The children of mankind take refuge
in the shadow of your wings.”
Psalm 36:5-7
God is faithful, and his love for me is beyond measure. I often have to remind myself of this when I keep failing or struggling to take action in my life due to fear. In January 2019, God revealed to me that he wanted me to take up space in the world of business as an entrepreneur. God has a heart for Kingdom businesses and wants to have influence in this space. This was exciting because I was already witnessing God’s hand in other industries like beauty and music.
It didn’t take long for excitement to wear off, and for me to come to terms with reality. I had no idea what I was doing and things were not happening the way I expected them. Overwhelmed by my failures and paralyzed by fear, I became stagnant and anxious. I felt like I was disappointing God because of all my shortcomings.
Then I remembered that God’s love is steadfast. His love for me does not change based on my good or bad behaviors—or how well I perform. He loves me because I am his daughter, and nothing can change that. Knowing this in my heart changed my mindset. God wasn’t expecting perfection but partnership with him.
Perhaps God has called you to take on something new, and it has not been an easy road. I encourage you to not surrender to fear, but to God’s steady love which can be found in his refuge. What are some fears or struggles that you can talk to Him about today and partner on a solution? Remember God’s love is steadfast, and He can be trusted. He always keeps his promises.

God, thank you for your steadfast love in a world that can feel so inconsistent. Help me to build my life on your love. Increase my desire for your Word. Remind me daily of who you are and who I am in Jesus so that I can put my trust in you for all of the days of my life. May your kingdom come and your will be done in my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
